I was away for a full cycle of the moon
and she taught me many things
like whenever I go I can go
and wherever I stay I can stay.
as I am able, as I believe.
with the high hides and low tides
angles of the mountain sides
from desert to desert
the life that grows there
and so much blessed light by
the waters of life,
all the cliches you'd expect in
a poem she gave me
I was away for a full cycle of the moon
and she taught me many things.
the Gray life
Simpletons for Simpletons ...words by and for the unwise...

colourful people
colourful people
sun kissed
kissing
cheek to cheek
mouth to mouth
saving lives
one breath at a time
friends and lovers and sun
medicine
the reasons of now.

the reasons of now.

lessons from home
moving away from you
while I'm high
on emotion and sunshine
reminds me of the lessons from home:
the adventure is now,
the destination is here,
play when you stay
where you are,
but move along
you must.
while I'm high
on emotion and sunshine
reminds me of the lessons from home:
the adventure is now,
the destination is here,
play when you stay
where you are,
but move along
you must.
halas, too soon
I try and sear the silhouettes
in my mind,
the way that they are cut-out shades
of grey, layored paper mountains
underline the sky,
I never want to forget them.
I take an inventory of
my senses
in this moment,
of you lying there in the morning glow
we kiss without knowing
that was it,
halas,
too soon.
all we had to be
was nice for one more day...
and I wish I hadn't said those things,
I am sorry.
in my mind,
the way that they are cut-out shades
of grey, layored paper mountains
underline the sky,
I never want to forget them.
I take an inventory of
my senses
in this moment,
of you lying there in the morning glow
we kiss without knowing
that was it,
halas,
too soon.
all we had to be
was nice for one more day...
and I wish I hadn't said those things,
I am sorry.

"Capture this Moment for Us"
capture this moment
this dream alive
this heaven we live for
this now we wait for
in the living
before we part.
this dream alive
this heaven we live for
this now we wait for
in the living
before we part.

see you
when you fall in love
all over the world,
you are blessed
with the trouble
of many "see you
sometime,
maybe never"s
but grateful you will be
forever, wherever,
when you fall in love
all over the world.
all over the world,
you are blessed
with the trouble
of many "see you
sometime,
maybe never"s
but grateful you will be
forever, wherever,
when you fall in love
all over the world.

"'Another one,' she said."
let me paint a picture
while you paint.
I'll write the bright of the carrots that I drink,
and the wisdom of the thoughts that we think,
or so we think they are.
I'll remember the buzz of the smoke that
you blow in my face,
while I take a picture
and you take a picture,
for us to remember.
let me paint a picture
while you paint.
we're in the state of flow,
so no talking
in between the talking,
the recognizing of sacred
of the space we share tonight.
let me paint a picture
while you paint.
your tea not exactly what you thought,
like our lives unfolding
in the ways we dreamed,
in ways we never dreamed
would come true.
the hanging pots amoung tangles of vines,
the honks of horns a melody
with the music in the background
singing in languages unknown, in melodies sweet,
ringing and clanging with the laughing
of strangers in
a strange land we sit, familiar
in one another's company
like family,
even though technically
we're not.
let me paint you a picture
while you paint.
it's one of heaven on earth,
it's a picture we paint of us.
while you paint.
I'll write the bright of the carrots that I drink,
and the wisdom of the thoughts that we think,
or so we think they are.
I'll remember the buzz of the smoke that
